Mehndi

Mehndi preparation, colour development and aftercare

Mehndi pricing starts from the published menu price because design size, placement and detail determine the time required. Clean preparation and patient aftercare help the design develop, but final colour varies with the paste, body area, skin and individual aftercare.

At a glance

What matters most

  • Share the placement, approximate size and design reference before the appointment.
  • Arrive with clean skin free from heavy oil, lotion or self-tan on the area.
  • Allow drying and colour development time when planning an event.

Planning the design and price

A small simple motif and detailed work covering a larger area cannot be priced as the same appointment. Send a reference image and explain the body area, coverage and event date. References guide the style, but hand-drawn work will not be a machine-identical copy.

Book early enough to confirm the design and allow colour to develop before the event. Avoid scheduling application immediately before an activity that will rub or wash the paste away.

Preparing the skin

Wash the area and arrive without a heavy layer of cream, oil or fake tan. Choose clothing that leaves the placement accessible and will not press against the fresh design as you leave.

  • Mention known skin sensitivity or a previous reaction.
  • Do not apply over broken, inflamed or infected-looking skin.
  • Confirm whether the design must fit around jewellery, sleeves or footwear.

Drying and colour development

Follow the exact instructions given for the paste used. Protect the design from rubbing while it dries and avoid washing it away earlier than advised. The stain usually continues developing after the dried paste is removed, so the first visible colour is not necessarily the final depth.

A guaranteed colour cannot be promised. Hands and feet often develop differently from other areas, and skin preparation, warmth, timing and aftercare all influence the result.

Common questions

Before you book

Why does Mehndi have a from price?

Size, placement, coverage and level of detail determine the appointment time. Send the intended design so a clearer price can be confirmed.

When should I book before an event?

Allow time for the appointment and subsequent colour development. Share the event date when requesting so suitable timing can be discussed.

Can you guarantee a very dark stain?

No. Paste, body area, skin and aftercare all affect colour, so an identical result cannot be guaranteed.

Need a personal answer?
